Our public consultation finished in May 2022 - we can't wait to share our finished plan with you in 2023.
We are a fresh drinking water supplier, meaning we only deal with the fresh stuff. It's easy to get confused between water companies, but we have different roles. At South East Water, we don't deal with waste water or sewage.
For us, it's more than just continuing to supply your fresh drinking water - we want to protect the environment and enhance it for future generations. In April 2022, we became the first water company in the UK to produce a draft 25 Year Environment Plan.
Over the course of seven months we worked with more than 250 customers, employees and stakeholders to create our draft plan together, and now we are consulting on the plan that we created.
You can download our full draft plan from the 'consultation documents' area, as well as a brief highlights document (non-technical summary) and a report on how the engagement process we went through has influenced the draft plan.
Please take the time to read our plan and tell us your views using the feedback form below by Friday 13 May. We will take all feedback into account and intend to publish a revised plan this summer, along with a report of how this feedback has shaped our final plan.
Never standing still, we will review and update our 25 Year Environment Plan regularly after we publish the final version, at least every five years.
This plan will provide a framework to help us manage all aspects of the environment holistically and allow us to make transparent decisions which lead to the best overall outcome for the environment long term.
