Consultation has now closed and the revised plan has been published. Thank you for all your feedback.
Between 14 November 2022 and 20 February 2023, we consulted with our customers and stakeholders on our draft Water Resources Management Plan, which set out how we propose providing a reliable and resilient supply of drinking water during the next 50 years.
Our ability to supply water is under increasing pressure due to a growing population, changing climate and new laws to protect the environment.
We worked hard to create a regional solution which strikes a delicate balance between those pressures, while also protecting and enhancing the environment and adding value to society.
Now the consultation has closed
Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend one of our webinars, visit a public exhibition or take a look at our website and respond to the consultation.
We have now published our consultation Statement of Response, which sets out how we have responded to all the comments made during the consultation period, as well as our revised Water Resources Management Plan.
This will also be submitted to Defra for their final review.
Once Defra has reviewed our plan, and pending any comments they may have, we'll then publish our final plan. That plan will then be embedded in our PR24 business plan and we’ll then begin implementing the actions within it.
